I spent every summer as a kid here. It’s a great place to have fun and meet new people. The staff are nice and will help you with anything you might want to know or have problems with. They have got a variety of things to do for different interests. Personally, I like to play tennis, mini golf, kayak, swim, and go for walks. This place is great for all of that and more! The food isn’t that bad either. I normally get the fried dough from the store once a year.
Bring your bikes. Don't forget your s'mores supplies. On Sunday morning, plan for breakfast at Woodpecker Lodge. Wake up every morning to the sound of loons on the lake.
Everyone is so friendly. It's pet friendly and lots for kids to do. They have a heated pool and hot tubs
We were first time campers at this campground. Like you are now, I scouted online reviews looking for a nice and clean campground to bring the family to...somewhere far enough away to feel like you "got away from it all."
All in all, highly recommend!! Can't wait to go back!
Everyone we talked to were returning campers. It was easy to see why! We already booked next year's vacation :)
We stayed here for a week in July, and loved every minute. Lots of kids all ages, plenty of playgrounds, and pool and lake to choose from for swimming. Well stocked store that wasn't overpriced. Very friendly staff and seasonal campers. The bathrooms were so clean I didn't even see a fly in there! They had to have been cleaned multiple times a day. With live bands, hayrides and karaoke, there's something for everyone.
We had a tent site - it was clean, really big, with water and electricity - the fire pit was nicely built and cleaned out. I think because there's electricity, the RVs don't need to run on generators so it was really quiet, for the most part - even when people were a little rowdy, it was during the evening, not when we were trying to sleep and no one was too obnoxious or annoying, which I had been worried about, because it's such a big place.
This was our first family camping trip and we had an absolute blast!! We love this campground and already reserved for another four days next year ... we found the other campers to be friendly and it was quiet at night - during the day, there is so much to do and it is a gorgeous location - our site was right across from the lake - the kids could walk to the beach, to the playground, the pool, the camp store and the game room. We rented kayaks and an aqua bike and our family in town visited and also had a lot of fun. Close to Damariscotta if you want to get out and explore but really, there's so much fun stuff to do at the campground, it was hard to leave!
I like the campground a lot. My kids have a great time. I gave them a 3 stars cause for years now I have camped here and I always have to make a complaint to have the ball field mowed. We use the field a lot and should not have to tell them to do their job. Looking for better up keep for when we come back.
